Chord Songbook - Find and learn guitar chords, chord tabs & diagrams

Chord Songbook is a small online tool for finding guitar chords in just a few clicks. All chords are displayed in standard diagrams along with tab notation. You can find chords in two easy ways:

By chord name. In this case you get all chord variations for that name at different fret positions.
By individual notes. In this case you can match certain tab combinations to chords available on our system and get their diagrams and symbols. It is very useful when you know finger positions or partial tabs rather than chord names.

This program is very handy when you would like to learn guitar chords. Chords are generated on the fly, so you don't have to navigate through other pages. There's also no need to install and learn any software for reference purposes only. Our site is the most convenient way to quickly retrieve specific chords.

All chords that are displayed on our site are real chords that are widely used by most guitarists. We did not include here complex and limited chords, so view panels are not overloaded with options. We don't use image based diagrams or flash; our program draws chords on most modern browsers with the only requirement to have JavaScript enabled.

Usage Tips:

To edit the chord click on the grid of the big chord diagram displayed at the top of the window. You will see matched chords in the Search chords tab while you're setting individual notes.
To change tab note to "x" or "0" simply click on the tab number under the editing grid.
If you click on a dot that represents an individual note you will delete it and change tab number to "0".
When searching for chords, "x" and "0" notes are ignored, so you don't have to worry about open or closed strings.
To see tablature for a chord displayed in the Variations tab just click on the desired chord and it will be copied to the editing window.
Tab notation is shown according to the currently selected position at the fret.
